Love Your Local Market is now very much in the planning stages for the 2014 campaign, not to mention all the support we are planning on giving to the UK Markets Industry over the Christmas period.
In the lead-in to the 2013 campaign however a great deal of survey work was carried out by Plain Fresh, the preliminary results for HERE! We have also managed to achieve a high level of interest attracting coverage from Country Living, The Telegraph and regional coverage across the UK. The campaign attracted 700 markets putting on somewhere in the region of 3,500 events during the fortnight in May.
If you want to find out more about Love Your Local Market and what it is all about you may still be able to get tickets for the NABMA (National Association of British Market Authorities) Annual Conference at the end of September. Accommodation is fully booked but day tickets are still available from the NABMA website.
Our founder Ellie Gill will be chairing the LYLM session on the Monday afternoon and will be introducing some elements of the forthcoming campaign but we shall also be hearing from speakers including Warrington Market, a Wiltshire Market supporting the Transition Movement ethos and the National Skills Academy for Retail will be hosting a workshop around work they shall be doing as a consequence of their partnership work with NABMA.Tags: Annual Conference, Country Living Magazine, Love Your Local Market, Marlborough Communities Market, NABMA, The Telegraph, Tourism
